Eagle Creek Travel Gear Straight Up Business Brief RFID, Black, One Size

This is a very good bag. I have been using this bag on my daily commute (2-hours each way) and on a few flights. I am very happy with the Staight Up Business Brief RFID. This bag is a replacement for an Eagle Creek Dane Flashpoint that I abused and loved. The Staight Up Business Brief as a few small but important upgrades from the Dane Flashpoint. I've noticed that the zippers seem wider/stronger and the zipper pulls are no longer painted (they chipped on the Dane Flashpoint). Eagle Creek kept the loops on the zipper pulls for locking the bag up just in case you need to check it in or store it. I've found that plastic zip ties are the way to go with this feature versus expesnive little locks. The two main compartments are designed so you can get to your gear quickly. The bag also feels smaller and lighter than the Dane Flashpoint but on a side by side comparsion, it really isn't. You will be happy with this bag.Side note: The Dane Flashpoint bag came with a lifetime warranty. When I could no longer close one of the compartments because the zipper would not lock in its tracks I sent it to the authorized Eagle Creek warranty repair shop. I shipped the bag to repair shop on Saturday via UPS (on my dime) and I was stunned to get my bag back on Wednesday. Eagle Creek covered the cost of the repair and shipping. My wife sent her fancy Ghurka bag for repair six weeks prior and she was still waiting for a repair quote when I opened the box with my repaired Dane Flashpoint. We often don't use the lifetime warranty on the goods we buy but Eagle Creek came through on this one. It's one more reason to buy this bag. Good luck on your search!

Based on my good experience with Eagle Creek product, I've ordered this Travel Gear Straight Up.Now I'm very disappointed because of very poor quality:After wearing this bag exactly 7 (seven!) weeks, the bottom part got broken (see photo).I did not find any way how to reclaim: Amazon returns: "This item is no longer eligible for return."

The bag arrived with a ripped sternum strap. The materials feel cheap and the laptop padding is minimal. The laptop compartment is the only one you can unzip all the way around. One compartment only unzips on one side, and the others on two sides, so access is limited. In fact, it's hard to access the stationery pockets because of that.The only reason I gave it an extra star is that you can tuck away the backpack straps.

Perfectly met my needs for a daily commute bag to carry laptop, charger, notebook, pens, misc. Very roomy and seems high quality material and craftmanship. Like that it converts to backpack if I want to walk to train.

The asymmetric opening is sometime interrupt you to easy storage but it's also not easy to drop anything from its compartment...Anyway i have satisfied that has enough capacity with 3 way carrying styles.
