An honest review from someone loving their PS4
Well where do I start? Sony's PlayStation 4 is amazing! This is coming from a PC gamer that switched from the Xbox-360 to PC due to the lack of great visuals on consoles. The funny part is I've always preferred the ease of use of consoles, but the graphics of the PC and I'm here to tell you The graphics in launch games such as Battlefield 4, and 2K14 look absolutely amazing and are on par with my GTX 680. Most games looking like they are running Very High to Ultra and are just stunning to look at. Not only are the visuals outstanding but the depth of the launch games are a great indicator for all games to come. What I mean by depth is the extra "little things" that are found on PS4 games and not their PS3 counterparts. An example of this is NBA 2K14. The players movement is authentic feeling, and the moves they make on the court look so real and fluid compared to the PS3's version. I love the UI! It's a no BS UI that screams Hardcore Gamer, which I believe is what Sony was going for in the first place with the entire architecture of the system. In the "What's New" tab, you can catch up on what your friends have been doing in the gaming world, check out their uploaded in-game vids, or see that they just received a new rare trophy, and even join their game. Whenever you insert a new game for the first time, you can immediately start playing while the game installs to the hard drive, which is awesome. The PS4's sharing feature should be applauded all on its own, with the ability to stream live IN GAME footage while also having the ability to edit and upload continuously the last 15 minutes of gameplay at (what seems to be) 720p to Ustream, Twitch, and PSN, a gamer will never again have to say "Damn I wish there was someone around to have seen that!" I used the feature all weekend and it is astounding how well it works. I own a PSVITA and love the system by itself, but when I heard last year that it would be able to remotely stream PS4 games to it, it was a no-brainer for me to pick one up. I can say for the most part at launch, it works! Unfortunately I am not able to plug my PS4 up to the LAN, and have to make due with Wi-Fi, which is not exactly prime. I am able to go upstairs and keep playing my game on my Vita while I'm in my bed! But there are certain parts of my house where it simply cannot sustain the connection and shuts off. The really surprising thing is that once you set up the ability in the PS4's power options to turn the console on remotely through the Vita, or PS app, the actual REMOTE PLAY WORKS. Granted I am using a full bars LTE hotspot from a Galaxy S4. So I am able to play my PS4 games at my work through my Vita! There are no words that can describe how awesome that felt the first time I tried it. It is a technological feat in my eyes! All OF THIS WORKS NOW AT LAUNCH, and can only get better with updates. My only complaint with remote play is the control scheme for some games, (which cannot be changed that I know of). For instance on 2K14, run, or "turbo" is normally the left trigger, or L2 on the Dual Shock 4, and on the Vita, it has to substitute R2 on Vita's rear touch pad, which isn't all bad, just takes some real getting used to and is kind of clumsy. I wish one was able to reconfigure the control scheme to maybe make the controls for certain games better. The Dual Shock 4 feels like it was made for my hands! You will know exactly what I am talking about once you put your paws on one. I can already tell you from personal experience, it is my new preferred way of playing FPS's. Why I have not had the pleasure of handling an Xbone controller, the Dual Shock 4 will be hard to beat for "best gaming Controller" It just does so much right. The new triggers are excellent and responsive, the sticks are smaller and have more grip and are so much more precise, and the little built in speaker playing in game audio logs on the controller instead of the TV speakers , and the light bar flashing red from green when your health is low is just icing on the cake. With the Dual Shock 4 you have the ability to plug in just about any headphones with mic that one would normally use on a smartphone. I was able to plug in my B&W P5's to my Dual Shock 4 and get both party chat, AND IN GAME AUDIO, once I enabled the setting by holding in on the PS Button! I will say again, once enabled, you can have both chat and in game audio simultaneously going through to the headphones you plug into a Dual Shock 4 instead of the in game audio going through your TV!. That's just awesome, especially for someone who has children and stays up late to game and doesn't want to disturb others. The complaints I have, are very few, but they are present. The first one is a known issue which is I CONSTANTLY get kicked out of Battlefield 4 with the common Blue Screen that everyone else is getting. While I know this is to be expected with a console launch, it should have been fixed by now, it's very intermittent, but when you're on a roll and it happens, it is soul crushing. The second complaint is I recently found that the PS4's wireless card only supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n, and not the newer Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ac or 5 GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi support, WHICH CANNOT JUST BE PATCHED via update. Lastly, NO YOUTUBE APP OR DLNA! Common Sony, leaving out either one of these just seems silly to me especially since the PS3 already did them, and did them well. Luckily these can and better be patched in an eventual update. I would also like to see more streaming apps like HBO Go and a dedicated Plex App. All in all I give the system and the launch games I've played (BF4, 2K14, AC4BF, Resogun, and KZSF), a 4.5 out of 5. With games like Infamous Second Son, Last of Us 2, and Uncharted 4, the long list of games and the way the graphics look out of the gate with the launch games shows that the PS4 has a very promising future and will be the system to beat. I know there is tons I've left out of my little review, but those are the things that stand out most to me. I REALLY, I mean REALLY feel for the peeps with DOA PS4's. All the anticipation leading up to its release, only to have it not work out of the box, must be crushing. But I felt compelled to write this review and tell it how it is from someone with a (knock on wood) working unit, and loving every second of it! UPDATE 11/19/13 Battlefield/ Sony servers fixed! But also wanted to comment on the Remote Play function. It has of right now is NOT WORKING while running off of LTE Hotspot Remotely. I don't know if I have to re add the devices or what. I follow the directions, and my Vita never finds the PS4 over the net which is slightly odd since I was able to do it day one? Will try re adding to hopefully get it working again. I have seen videos on the net of others doing this successfully, so I will update if successful. PS SONY GIVE US OUR DAMN YOUTUBE APP!

Long time Xbox User
I'm new to Playstation. I played the original Xbox and the 360, and am one of those who decided to switch over to the PS4. Why did I switch? 1 - I wanted to change for a bit of excitement 2 - PS4 has slightly higher hardware specs, quicker memory, and better graphics processor (cpu is slightly slower) 3 - PS4 plays some games native in 1080 where as X-One does not 4 - PS4 is a bit cheaper (although not a big deal to me) - it's not that big of a difference if you purchase the PS4 camera @ about $40 more. Considering that many stores offered B2G1 PS4 game offers and the PS4 controllers include built in batteries and comes with the USB charging cable - you're saving another $30+$60 5 - PS4 is smaller in size and does not have an external power brick/adapter 6 - Playstation Plus is cheaper than Xbox Live (not a big concern) - although Xbox Live used to be $50 on Amazon where as it is now $56. 7 - PS changed their controller design. I would not buy the PS4 if they did not change their old, Awful controller. The new controller feels much better, more comfortable although the physical feel of the joysticks can be much improved - they can hurt a bit... 8 - PS4 is said to have more and better upcoming indie games there are a couple exclusives that I'm interested in 9 - Although I'll have Plus and also use a Roku for my streaming, I find it ridiculous that Xbox One requires you to have Live to use Netflix and other streaming services. 10 - Xbox seemed to focus on 'everything else' like Kinect, voice commands and its TV/streaming apps. I use a Roku for streaming and am not interested in using voice commands ..er..talking to an Xbox to turn it on. I'm not interested in Kinect games... While this may be added benefits to some users - I'm just not interested in them as I have other devices to perform these functions. I do not care that the PS cannot play CDs/MP3s etc....I have a computer and wireless speakers for that... 11 - PS Plus is said to offer free games and content each month. All of these small reasons built up to my decision but as I'm primarily interested in playing games - the quicker GPU and RAM specs and word on the PS4 playing a couple games native in 1080p were the deciding factors. After PS4s controller change, I still feel that the Xbox probably has a better controller (due to joysticks) (at least I heard that it was largely unchanged from the 360's) and that was hard to give up. So far so good - I was worried about the controller but it feels really good, comfortable, and exponentially better than the PS3s controller. The joysticks can be a bit painful on the thumbs though as the undersides are not rounded - my only qualm with it. I'm almost fully transitioned to it after a couple days use. The game play as been great - especially playing BF4 online. (If you buy one game right now, I'd suggest getting BF4.) The system turns on and jumps into games quickly and you can jump from a game to the dashboard and back in a second which is neat. The dashboard isn't as neat as Xbox's but it's a lot cleaner. Anyways - the change to PS4 is working out for me - I'm sure you'd be happy getting either system - the differences are small. I see no reason to buy both. Only qualm with the PS4 are the controller's joysticks which should be more rounded on the underside edge. If I could remake my decision - I would still get the PS4.

For a working ps4 it is a beast machine!
So, to start off I am happy (so far at least) that I was actually able to play my ps4. It is a shame to those that did not get a chance and are bashing the system since theirs did not work. I preordered mine since June 11 and have eagerly been awaiting it since then (the last few weeks have been killer) I really only got to play with this 1 day so far and the whole time I have been playing bf4. I must say, this is a huge improvement over the ps3. It is very slim, portable, quiet, and surprisingly a little heavier than I thought but it is nothing compared to my clunky launch ps3. I would say this is like the size of a netbook. When I saw the ps4 picture when they announced it earlier this year I actually thought it looked ugly... but now that I have it it actually has a very unique design that grows on you. It's not the standard box or rectangle. It was a breeze setting up too! Just plugged in the hdmi and added the power cord and wa-la! No more than 30 seconds. The controller is a big step up from the ds3, it feels perfect in your hands and makes playing beautiful. So far the touch screen has little use but hopefully as time goes on they will really build on it. The user interface is smooth and easy to navigate. I initially had a hard time logging into psn but I was patient unlike the people bashing since they were unable to sign in and after being tedious I finally was able to login (due to high traffic on launch day.) PS Store loads up quicker than on ps3, and the ps4 boots up very quick. The system itself runs quietly even while playing. After a few hours of bf4 I did notice the system did get warm but it still ran quietly. What I do love about the ps4 probably the most so far at least is while downloading updates it installs it at the same time, same for the game data and after a few seconds of installing bf4 I was ready to start playing! It was much quicker than I thought. BF4 is easily the best game I have ever played both online and the single player campaign is a big step forward since bf3. The graphics are amazing and gameplay much smoother. I always had a hard time with aiming in bf3 and the controls for flying were hard to learn but in bf4 they fixed all of that. I don't mean to upset anyone but I would easily say bf4 plays more like cod - at least control ways. The only thing I am not sure is if it is bf4, or the ps4, but for some reason my save file always corrupts for my single player campaign and I am always stuck starting from the very beginning but I read that it is a common thing. I will update more of the battlefield 4 as I keep on playing. But they also have a game mode now where you can practice your aim, and flying around testing vehicles and gear without having to worry about some @#$@ who plays too much killing you or shooting you down. This game will at least give you a chance to play and get better so you can have fun. The sharing feature on the ps4 is very easy to do and use. I uploaded a battlefield 4 match on facebook, it took a few minutes to add, but it looked beautiful! Only complaint is there was no volume? But you are able to trim movies too from beginning to the end point. Easy to figure out. The only complaint I can think of so far on the ps4 is as far as I know it only has 2 usb ports? That is not much seeing as how 1 port is used by the controller charger, and the other by the camera if you purchase it, there is no room for the usb mic from ps3 which I heard is compatible with ps4. I also purchased this bundle with ps+ but I am not sure if amazon will be sending it in a digital code or not but I have yet to receive it. For a short time though Sony is including a gift of $10 PSN credit, 30 days of PS+ (needed to play multiplayer but you get free games) and 30 days of Music Unlimited which is similar to Spotify. The companion smartphone app is pretty cool too and you can message friends through your phone! I have yet to figure out how to turn off a controller without turning off the whole system though. I will update this as time goes on! But for those who were unable to play because their system was bricked I am deeply sorry, but I promise you when you do get a chance to be able to play you will be extremely happy and will love the ps4! I am very excited to see how this gaming generation will be! A lot of the features promised at e3 have yet to be implemented, so the ps4 is not quite at the true greatness it should be at, and despite people being upset about the mp3 playback Sony will more than likely add it back in a future update. They said they were trying their best to get the more important portions of the ps4 available by launch and to be honest, I would rather have the system play games on day 1 than play music.

Day-1 edition, eject monster
After about 1-year the ps4 has been continuously trying to eject discs when not prompted. I have tried every single method to resolve the issue with no fix. It is obviously a design flaw seeing that many.. Many others are experiencing the same problem. It is very annoying, it constantly beeps and you can hear the motor trying to eject the disc when it's empty. ALL remedies online seem to work for a week, some less, before it acts up again. A simple fix would be to add a disable eject button in the options and leave the eject disc option that already exists through the dashboard by selecting the options button. But Sony just wants you to send it in and pay for repairs because this will happen after 1-year when warranty is NA that's how it works. Other than the eject issue the triggers in controllers will be the next concern especially if you play shooters or any type of game that has you pressing the triggers frequently (basically 99% of games). You'll find that when you press the trigger it does nothing. This happens because inside the trigger a thin piece of plastic presses against a rubber grommet that is sitting against the board. The plastic is so thin that, over time, it cuts into the grommet rendering the trigger useless until repaired. It is a cheap fix replacement grommets can be found for roughly $5. With a screwdriver and YouTube instructions it's an easy repair and will save you $50-$60 for a new one. The controller did last me about a year and 1/2 before this was an issue so it's not that big of a problem just something to note. Due to the design of the ps4 you cannot stand it in the vertical position without purchasing the stand because it will overheat. Besides everything mentioned above, it is a fantastic console and I would recommend it.

Love it!
Updaate 11/18/2013: Got a chance to try out the "headset" that comes with the console and it's awful. It is not a headset. It is an earphone with a microphone attached to it. It seems almost as it was an afterthought or just something to put on a checklist and say that "PS4 comes with a headset". I can barely hear my friends talk even with the volume turned all the way up. Granted, given the price difference with the Xbox, you can get a decent headset and still be ahead value-wise. With that said, if you have a PS3 headset, it will work with PS4 from what I've read. However, if you are planning to play and talk online and you don't have a compatible headset already, plan on buying a real headset. Ordered the BF4 and PS+ bundle in June. UPS delivered the box and I went ahead installing it. The setup is extremely simple. In my case only 2 cables were used: the power cable and HDMI (included). I heard that PSN will have issues with high traffic volumes on their servers, so I downloaded the 1.50 software update on a USB and installed it that way. Everything worked. Took some time to install and set up the accounts, but everything turned out fine. On to the details: - Design. The console is simple. There are 2 touch buttons (power and eject) on the front. There is a cool light strip at the center of the console that changes color (blue, white, and orange). - User Interface. I had an Xbox 360 before this and let me tell you that the 360 interface is filled with ads. Seems like that user interface was paid by the marketers. I have yet to see a single ad on the PS4s interface. It is also very intuitive to use. Like I said, the last Playstation I've had was PS1 in 2000, which didn't have a UI. The new UI is simple and functional. The only gripe that I have is the health warning every time you turn the console on. - Graphics. I bought 3 games: Battlefield 4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and Assassin's Creed 4. BF4 and Killzone looked stunning and very much PC-like. Now, I have a gaming desktop and a laptop and I won't tell you that they are just as good, but then neither my desktop or laptop cost $400. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of the visual performance. - Dualshock 4 controller. Simply put: it's amazing. There is nothing that I would change on it. I thought that the 360 controller was good, but the DS4 is just excellent. You can read the reviews of the DS4 controller and they are all positive. - Cooling/Noise level. The console is extremely quiet. My 360 was pretty loud when playing games. With that said, make sure you place the console in an open space. At first, I put it in a space in which the PS4 just fit and that space got pretty warm. The fan also was quite audible when it was in that space. I since placed it in an open space on top of the TV stand and I have not heard the fan spin up to that level since. Console gets barely warm when you have enough air for it. The 500GB hard drive that is included will not be sufficient if you are planning on getting many games. Killzone requires 45GB of space, so you can see how fast it will fill up. I must say that there are still some bugs, but that is expected from a brand new console. For example, Playstation Store as of this moment is "under maintance". Also, I did get dropped from the PSN once or twice, however, all was smooth last time I played BF4 for about 5 hours. BF4 has problems of its own, but that's not the point of this review. To conclude, I see that there are quite a few negative reviews. I don't know if others' consoles were damaged during the shipment process or factory defect. The console does have a warranty, so I hope everyone with problems gets it resolved soon. I love pretty much every aspect of this console. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the minor touch ups that need to be done on software level (bugs). Once that is done, the console will be perfect and I will update the rating.

Two PS4's dead on arrival
Pre-ordered a launch day bundle from Amazon so I would have it for X-Mas for my 7 year old son. The first unit was usable for about 30 minutes after-which it locked up and made a loud buzzing noise. Subsequent reboots/power-offs would let you play anywhere from 5 - 10 minutes before a repeat. Called and was on hold with Sony for over 1.5 hours before I gave up and called back the next day. I was frustrated at this point but I realize sometimes you just get a bad unit - stuff happens. After getting through, Sony diagnosed it as defective and shipped me a box to send it back in. A new PS4 arrived this past Thursday and to my dismay it is even worse than the one I just sent back. It worked for about 2 hours and then went into the "Blinking Blue Light" mode that many people are complaining about. So now I just packed the 2nd unit up to ship back and will have to wait another 5 - 10 days to get a 3rd PS4 sent. Based on my experience as well as the 190+ reviews posted on amazon I think Sony has some serious hardware issues with the PS4. Even if the 3rd time is a charm I am not optimistic about the long term reliability these systems are going to have. At this point I would recommend anyone considering a PS4 either go with another console or wait until Sony has released a new revision of this hardware because it truly does not seem worth the hassle or the $500 price tag. Update: I got the 3rd PS4 from back from Sony and surprise surprise... It does not work. This time the drive is mechanically defective and will not accept a disk. On top of this Sony customer service is just soooo bad. They are rude and don't really care if you get a working system or not. It goes without saying that quality control is also zero. I have been a loyal Sony fan for years. They have always been my go to brand for TV's + Audio. I knew I was paying top dollar for the Sony name but my perception was that I was getting a great product with a great company to back it up. It is clear that I was wrong. My experience with Sony support has ended my 20+ year loyalty to the brand.

Playstation 4 is amazing!
My Playstation 4 has been working like a dream since I received it on release. Specifically, I bought the Battlefield 4 Launch Day Bundle and it was a good experience. I wish I would have purchased a different game to bring in the next generation because Battlefield 4 was plagued with issues, had to restarted the single player campaign because of data corruption several times and have yet to try again out of fear to lose another few hours of progress. On a side note, the year code for this bundle was used and applied with no issues. The machine itself is amazing, the UI feels much smoother than the PS3 ever was, everything is snappier and the navigation just feels better all the way around. I was weary about receiving a faulty device with all the initial reports saying there was HDMI issues but I have yet to experience any hiccups. The machine is super quiet, much more than my fat PS3 and I still switch between both as the PS4 library is still growing. The controller is one of the best parts about this package, it feels perfect in my hands; the previous iterations feel so clunky and comparison now similar to what it felt like when texting on a flip phone and then getting used to the qwerty keyboard instead and trying to go back. However, the controller does have a lacking battery life, it might be a good idea to purchase a longer cable incase you are looking for prolonged periods of gaming as I always find myself having to plug it in much more often than the previous iterations of dualshock controllers. The LED doesn't allow for shutting off too which I suspect to aide it the battery limitations. I'm glad to see a headphone jack on the controller this time around so cords aren't filling the floor. One neat feature of the controller is the speaker; first time I booted up Resogun, I was startled when my controller started speaking to me, looking into this device in my hands like a demon was just born in my fingers, when I realized what was going on a silent "Sweeeeeeet!" went through my head. While the library is lacking, it's a new console and the library is expected to grow. Based on history, the library of Sony consoles seems to overflow with quality exclusives; here's to hoping for a Last of Us 2! But I am excited to see some free options initially on release, Warframe, Blacklight: Retribution and DCUO being a few. The playstation plus offerings up to this point have been mostly Indie/PSN games but Resogun, Dead Nation, Don't Starve.. smaller but still amazing games in their own right. Again, based on history, this playstation plus service should start seeing some quality retail releases filling up the free game updates in the coming months. Some features built into the system have been amazing to play around with, the ever desired party chat finally made its way to a Sony console after years of consumers voice their wants for this service, the share button I've tested to use with twitch services seems really cool to use; was hoping Dark Souls 2 would release on this platform so I could easily spread my rage to the masses so hopefully one day this still might be an option on the Playstation 4 platform. The only downside to this, is the small earbud they give with the system. This thing.. is almost laughable. It's painful to wear, it's of low quality, and it's just mind boggling Sony would want this to be a part of this amazing package. Many people I know still use it because issues with bluetooth connectivity but I've never tested that, I have plugged my Astro A40's directly to the controller with no issues in game audio / chat audio so this wasn't an issue for me. Overall, I would recommend this system time and time again for users upgrading from the PS3 and new users to the Sony platform alike. It's an amazing console that will soon have an amazing library. -Trent

Incomplete and Disappointing.
I have returned the PS4. I've been using the various Playstations since the original. I absolutely love my PS3. I'm currently using the last version of the PS3, after my original piano black version died about six months ago. I'm not thrilled with the most recent PS3's cheap design/construction, but it works. I use the PS3 for both games — COD, Battlefield, Killzone, MOA, etc. I used to be a VERY heavy Madden player, but that ended once the improvements in the game ended, some years ago. But, aside from the gaming, and more frequently, i use the PS3 for media. DVDs, Netflix/Hulu, and as a hub for playing back movies, photos, from an external USB hard drive. I also used to use it as a media server with the PS3 Media Server software. The USB storage feature, though, is absolutely critical. It is this feature that is missing from the PS4 that is the primary cause of my dissatisfaction. I was aware that the PS4 does not allow a USB drive to be used for such storage as game saves. But, Sony's literature and the product descriptions never fully disclosed that the new, 'super modern' PS4 would be 'crippled' from the old version in terms of the USB media playback feature. I find this to be inexcusable. Secondly... with regard to gaming.... Sony has been trumpeting this new PS4 console as being 'dedicated' to gaming. I expected more from the games. In this respect, I do not blame Sony, as games are in the hands of their respective developers. But, for a 'next gen' console, I was not impressed by Battlefield. Perhaps the resolution has been improved. Perhaps graphics have been improved. But, I go back to Battlefield 2, and the current version Just Isn't FUN. Same with Killzone. Seems like developers grew overly enthralled with their new technical innovations, and forgot to design an enjoyable game. In fact, the first five minutes of Killzone were almost comically stupid.... But, again — not the fault of Sony. In my situation, I had the PS4 seated immediately next to my PS3. And, I had to continue to use the PS3. Which I just felt was ridiculous. I had expected the new console to Fully Replace the old one. As the PS2 did to the PS. As the PS3 did to the PS2. But, not the PS4 with the PS3. Almost made me wish I had bought an Xbox. But, no — I can't see myself ever gravitating toward a Microsoft product.... I may end up buying a PS4 again, in the future. IF and only if the media situation is rectified. And, perhaps I should have started with Call of Duty instead of Battlefield? COD MW2 is, as i have felt for years, still the best game ever designed. I have not liked subsequent editions, but perhaps the Ghost is better? But, at present, I can find no justification for owning the PS4. Other matters: The controller. It's fine. It will feel like the PS3's, except it's better constructed. The blue light is annoying and seemingly senseless, but i don't think i played anything that requires it. The 'Option' button replaces the old Start button, and it's oddly and inconveniently placed. Hard to find in the dark. I only used the trackpad for a brief instance in Killzone, and didn't enjoy it. [Another issue with Killzone, and the most recent set of FPS games, in general: they're overly engineering these things. There are frequently segments within the games that require silly controller implementations and/or overly complicated character/action schemes. Examples include the drone in Killzone and the multiple role/robot sequence in Call of Duty. I haven't met anyone who thought those elements ADDED to the enjoyment of the games.] The menus. Well, they actually made me envious of the Xbox panes. Nothing super wrong with the PS4 menus, but they just aren't well-designed or efficient. It's just a matter of small details, though. I'm a designer, so perhaps I'm more critical of interface and design aspects than other people. And, perhaps it's partially, also, a matter of my greater familiarity with the PS3's style (which i also don't love, but it's simple enough to work). Third party interfaces. Throughout the PS4, in setting it up with your profiles, and then with employing Hulu and Netflix, et al, you have to enter your user name and password. Each developer seems to have a different keyboard and keyboard entry setup. Which is just stupid. It's a pain enough to have to enter alpha/numerical text with a game controller. But not being able to do it the same way with each 'app' is stupid. Sony ought to provide one protocol or set of data entry codings to the developers and standardize all of that. And, they need to have a WESTERN DESIGNER design it for European/English users. Not a person used to Asian language/character entry, and not an engineer. What else? Oh — there is no REMOTE available for the PS4. I have long been using a blue tooth remote control for my PS3. It is, by far, more convenient for using the PS3 with streaming video services, and for accessing the dvd features, and USB movies and photos. But, there isn't one for the PS4. I'm wondering if it just wasn't popular enough? Which boggles my mind. Why wouldn't you want to have a remote handy, that doesn't need to be plugged into a port for power? Has the same type of control scheme as what you're used to with any other component's remote? As I said, i may eventually buy again. But, if my PS3 were to die today, i'd be looking for another PS3 — not a PS4.
