I too got this for a Saitek X52. Works fine -- though a bit long. Should be fine for PS/2 stuff.
There's not a lot to say about a cable obviously. The general build quality feels pretty good to me. I don't think any pins will miss and break off or anything like that. The wire is quite thick, so I don't think it will crimp or break easily either. I believe the X52 uses all of the pins, so I think that this does also mean this is a full proper cable without any wires missing or anything. (I could be mistaken.)Bear in mind this is male-to-male. This won't work as, say, an extension cord. For PS/2 use, as others have said, it's pretty much for things like a KVM. Modern ones may need to use USB instead. For the X52 it fits tight and doesn't fall out though, so I can definitely say it works well there. Bear in mind it's a bit long. That may be a good thing if one actually wants to mount the two parts, but if they're close together you may have to roll it up and zip-tie it or something and it will stick out a bit obviously. (Sadly it's hard to find a really short male-to-male PS/2 cable that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.) I think most X52 users will be pretty happy with this.

Doesn't work
I need an adapter for the excellent, legacy IBM keyboards and their Dell-branded equivalents. I tried with three known, working keyboards on Windows 10 and Linux. The keyboards get power but do not function at all. I have other adapters that work perfectly. These do not work at all.

You have to make sure your keyboard is compatible.
Many people complain that this product doesn't work. That is because their PS/2 keyboards are not USB-compatible. Make sure your keyboard is USB-compatible before you buy this adapter, because not all PS/2 keyboards work with USB.I bought this product because my mechanical PS/2 keyboard came with a PS/2-to-USB adapter and I lost it. I knew my keyboard was USB-compatible and thus it works well with this adapter too.For a USB-compatible PS/2 keyboard, this product works perfectly.

It's a six foot black PS/2 keyboard extension cable with Purple ends.
The cable and connectors on this item look to be good quality, and is The Perfect Match if you've got a black PS/2 keyboard. Other Cable Choices are usually "grey" or "yellow-y/white", and if you are going to be stuck with a wired keyboard in 2020, might as well spend a little more to get a cable that matches the keyboard. Beyond that, current mainboards may still include an either-or PS/2 port, and in those cases having a PS/2 keyboard around is Most Useful for troubleshooting USB issues. The added six feet allows one to plug in the keyboard and have enough slack to get as far as the nearest chair.Plus there is the other Old Trick - if you plan to plug in/remove the KB Quite a Bit, let the extension cable take the possible risk of Bent Pins. Odds are it would be easier to get another extension cable than a PS/2 keyboard.

Pretty Good - Nifty Product
This worked perfect for my laptop! (I didn't have the two green and purple ports to plug in a mouse or keyboard.) I found that this 'blacks out' and doesn't work sometimes, but you just have to jiggle it a bit and it will be fine. Overall: It does its job most of the time.

So far so good...
The Keyboard...I have it hooked up to my Compaq Laptop and my Logitech Access Keyboard right now and it seems to be working reasonable well. None of the dedicated accessory keys work such as volume etc. But as I rarely use these keys it is not a great loss. My motivation for purchasing this device was that it is a cheap and fast band aid solution, to my dislike of laptop keyboards. Granted I have every intention of buying a dedicated full size USB keyboard in the very near future. But for the moment this adaptor suits my purposes. The mouse...My Laptop mouse is Logitech notebook mouse which is USB wireless...However as I heard so many negatives about the mouse adaptor as an experiment I tried the mouse adaptor with an older model (roller ball NOT Laser) Compaq mouse. And it seems to work fine on that device as well. With no disrespect intended towards buyers and users of Dell Computers or the capabilities of Dell Computers. I have heard in the past that they can be a little temperamental with "foreign" devices. So I would advise those users to purchase these sort of adaptors with caution.

This adapter was just what was needed. I was tired of changing batteries in my wireless keyboard and mouse .

Doesn't work
Tried to connect this to my old keyboard to my laptop but didn't work. I tried on two separate laptops and both did not recognize the device. I bought a different adapter and had no issues.

Three Stars
Didn't work for my keyboard. I guess you need a connection with mouse and keyboard input.

Works great
Cord went missing for my Saitek X52 Flight control System and I found it hard to find a replacement. This product came very fast and works great! (I will update this review if any issues in the future and state how long lasted).
