This speaker literally shakes my house!!
All I can say is wow!!! After over analyzing my speaker research, I ended up purchasing the Klipsch the Three "Capitol" Special edition.Let's go over some first impressions:- Upon unboxing the speaker, you can tell it's exceptional quality. The real wood and solid controls on the top and back just scream top of the line.- Like other users have already said, this thing is a lot smaller than you would think.- The design is phenomenal especially comparing to all the other competitors with cheap plastic shells.Connectivity Set up and Klipsch Stream App interface:- Bluetooth connection was extremely simple. If you don't wish to connect to the speaker using the Klipsch app, you can simply connect via bluetooth or the other fixed connections (Analog, USB, etc).- Wifi connection took a few more minutes to configure compared to bluetooth. Keep in mind, it's well worth to connect via Wifi if possible. The sound quality is not as compressed in comparison to the bluetooth connection. Yes, you can tell the difference. When you connect via Wifi, you need to download the Klipsch App to use.- The Klipsch Stream App, I've noticed a few issues when using. There seems to be some delay/interference when adjusting the volume. Depending on if you're adjusting the volume from within the Klipsch app or the Spotify app, there could be some delays. I also feel when adjusting the volume just one click, it's almost too drastic, there needs to be more individual levels of volume increments. Additionally, I've tried using the Sirius XM source from the Klipsch app and even after logging in, it won't load any stations. I've successfully used the Sirius XM app independently while connected via bluetooth with no issues. It seems there is an issue with the Klipsch Stream app when trying to pull the content from Sirius. I've checked to make sure I have all the latest updates and firmware downloads as well.Sound quality:This is where a lot will come down to personal preference. I prefer a decent amount of bass when listening to most music. If you're like me and like crisp clean bass, this speaker will blow your mind, and possibly windows. I've never heard sound come from such a small speaker before sound so crisp and full of bass. The sound from this speaker will literally fill your entire house. The highs are crisp and clear even at higher volumes.Final thoughts:- If you want a speaker that sounds and looks great without taking up a lot of real estate, this is your speaker.- If you want to be able to control your own EQ and don't like bass, this might not be your best choice. Unless Klipsch adds the capability through the app, you're out of luck.- This is hands down, in my opinion, the best looking and performing speaker on the market for this price point and product category.Positives:- Amazing sound quality- Crisp and clean bass that doesn't overpower the mids and highs.- Flawless design- Great connectivity optionsNegatives:- No equalizer- No Youtube music connectivity via the Klipsch app- Klipsch app issues (SiriusXM)- Volume delay and sensitivity

Wow....Much smaller than expected, but excellent big sound!
Wow....Much smaller than expected, but excellent big sound! I was initially panic stricken when I opened the box and thought "$600 for THIS little thing?!"...it's exactly the size of a thick shoebox (I have pictures with 1) my hand on top of it, 2) sitting on a small chair, 3) compared to a Bose SoundLink III (which is the same size as the original Bose SoundLink in case you're wondering - I have both, and they're the same size - in case that helps you get scale). Once I got it up and running, though, I was very impressed. Just for fun, since I had the (incredible) Bose out already for size comparison, I figured I'd put it head to head with the SoundLink III. The Klipsch makes the SoundLink sound like a clock radio by comparison, both in terms of "big sound", bass response, overall sound clarity, and volume. I have mine in a large room with a bar and a 9' pool table, and I don't want to be in the room when it's full-on. It's more than enough to fill any reasonable room with beautiful sound. I've only been toying with it for a half hour, but I'm pretty impressed so far.

Excellent sound and looks. Be ready to update firmware and install drivers though.
I bought this as a gift and have this on the desktop to test and update the firmware. This is an excellent sounding speaker and looks fantastic. The sound is accurate, but not overly analytical. The imaging and soundstage are good for a tabletop mono setup. This doesn't have the "boxy" sound that a lot of Bluetooth speakers.I unboxed this and had the Spotify app working without any trouble. You can uses your smartphone to chose songs and adjust the volume of the speaker which is incredibly convenient. This speaker is at least as user friendly as a Google Chromecast, and not as "quirky" in my experience so far. This isn't as simple as an stereo from 1970, but I didn't find it to be too difficult to get running. I already had the paid version of Spotify because you can stream high resolution audio and I was already using the service at home on my Playstation, so that was lucky.I hooked up my phone with the Aux input, and there were no surprises there. Everything worked fine.I tested out the USB input to my work PC. This did not automatically find the device drivers that were correct. I had to go to the Klipsch website and download the driver for this to work. This included the Bravo HD software which allows you to choose playback resolution preferences. The volume controls on my keyboard worked fine at adjusting the volume of the speaker.Be aware that you'll need a thumb drive for firmware updates. This is not a necessity to make it work though as another reviewer stated.I didn't have an opportunity to try the phono input, but I'm expecting it works fine. There is a switch on the back for phono or line level inputs. There's a lot of utility packed into this thing. It has Bluetooth, Line, Phono, USB, and works with streaming apps like Spotify. The combination of quality, looks, and utility make this a nice value. I bought this as a gift for my wife's office and going to hate seeing it go. I'm mulling buying one for myself now....

Love it.
The lack of wireless portability might be a killer for some, but I love mine nevertheless.Sound quality is great, and the long throw bass has been an unexpected experience out of a wireless/bluetooth speaker. And (yes, starting this sentence with that, it's important) that's what the listening with this is, as it very well should be, all about; The experience of sound - not just some loud "meh" air vibrations, a real tuned experience. If you get this, your ears and soul will thank you. If you want better, you'll have to pony up the big bucks.Visually, I find this quite attractive with it's simplistic design. A very well put together unit.All-in-all, I give this a "flippin' shweet" out of 5.
